Tribute & Message From The Family

Stin Seven, born Russell Orilio, May 26, 1952-October 1, 2012, aged 60 years, and a resident of Whitesboro, New York. After a courageous 12 month battle with cancer, Stin passed away peacefully at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford, New York. Stin was born and raised in the Mohawk Valley and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from Mohawk Valley Community College with a degree in criminal justice, and went on to serve as a Police Officer with the Whitestown Police Department. He eventually attained the rank of sergeant, and retired after more than 20 years service. He was one of three children born to Frank and the late Anne Orilio. Stin will forever be remembered by his devoted brothers Clarke and Douglas, along with countless friends and family who were blessed to know him. Stin loved music, movies, laughing and the challenge of fixing and building computers. Stin touched the lives of many people with his wry sense of humor and generosity, and maintained the sense of humor all the way to the end. He is survived by brothers Clarke Barre and Douglas Orilio; father Frank Orilio; and Uncle Paul Orilio. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial gathering on Friday, October 5th, 2012, at 4:00 p.m., at Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Forty Main Street, Whitesboro. The family requests that you consider memorials to Stevens-Swan Humane Society, 5664 Horatio St., Utica, NY 13502, in memory of Stin Seven. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Dear Friend,
I just heard the sad news. Last time when my daughters and I saw you, at the benefit, I thought you fought so brave, and with such an inspiring strength, that there was no question on my mind that you were winning the fight.
When I sent you a message 2-3 days ago and received no answer I started fearing that we may have lost you.
I am deeply saddened about your passing and even more so because I did not get to say our final goodbye. Now, you and Aaron can ride together in the Heaven's twisties and straightaways and have each other's company until the rest of our riding group makes our way to join you. Rest in peace dear friend.
Until we ride again!

Clarke & Bug, So sorry to hear about Weirdo(Stin). I will always remember the first time I met him at a party at you apt. on 14th street across from the Filmore. When I met him he immediately starting snapping barbie pins at me. I thought it a little strange, but Zekee said that was his way of saying that he liked someone. He will be missed. Crot

Russ was a kind soul, as I recall from high school. In addition, didn't he have wonderful artistic abilities? I send sincere condolences.

Dear Clarke, So sad to learn of your brother's passing--especially at such a young age. He looks a lot like you, too. Dave says you all went hunting together a few times upstate, and Ted sends you his best wishes, as well.

I'm so sorry to learn of this loss to our community. Another good man, another servant taken Home so soon, it seems. How the Divine Economy is maintained makes little sense to the questioning mind and nowadays I just ask for acceptance, especially when it hurts the most. I pray for our friend who's gone Home, and for all he's left behind. Peace to all.

Russ (I could never quite call you Stin) - thanks for all that you did for the "Manor" kids - You were a wonderful mentor and friend to many of them. The world needs more people like you who care about others and judge no one. You will be missed.

Words can't express what a great person Stin was. The mold was truly broken with him, and losing him is a hard loss to accept. When around him, you could truly be yourself and expect no judgment. Stin, you are truly unforgettable and will be genuinely missed. Can't believe you're gone :'(
