Carl John Greco, 75, formerly of Liverpool, currently of Palermo, passed away Tuesday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Carl James and Carmella (Sackett) Greco. Carl served with the Air National Guard, as he would jokingly say during WWII 1/2. He was a foreman with Carrier Corporation for many years, retiring in 1993. Carl was a member of the Holy Name Society at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. He loved traveling, especially enjoying his annual trips to Aruba with his wife and cousins. He also often traveled to Disneyworld with his family. Carl loved spending time with all his family and friends, he will be dearly missed.
He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Greco. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Rosemary (Condolora) Greco; his son, Carl T. (Pam) Greco of Cicero and his daughter, Debra M. (Richard) Bottorff of Palermo; six grandchildren, Chad Greco, Adam Bottorff, Daniel Greco, Samantha Bottorff, Tyler Greco and Kyle Greco.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 11:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. The Holy Name Society will recite their ritual on Friday at 3:30 pm at the funeral home.
