Cassidy L. D'Addario, 14, of Cortland, N.Y., passed away, Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at her home after a lengthy illness. Born, August 1, 1998 in Mineola, N.Y. Cassidy was the daughter of Bob D'Addario and Kate O'Connell of Cortland who survive her.

Cassidy was a 9th grade student at Cortland Jr. Sr. High School and a member of the Junior Varsity Tennis Team at C.H.S. She enjoyed Irish Dancing and Karate and was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, Cassidy is survived by a brother, Nicholas D'Addario at home, and her 3 grandparents, Mary D'Addario and Ann Dexter both of Cortland and Bill O'Connell of Cocoa Beach, Florida., great aunts, Mary Dexter and Janet D'Addario and great uncles, Mike and Jere Dexter., and Cassidy's good friend, Alexis Burnham and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Lucian Urbaniak, serving as celebrant. Prayers of committal will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. in the Chapel of Riccardi Funeral Home 69 N.
