Julia M. Wendt, 91, of New York Mills and formerly of Marcy, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at her home. She was born on December 2, 1921, in Rome, NY, the daughter of the late Paul and Etta Rudel Krumhauer. She graduated from Rome Catholic High School. She married Robert Wendt on April 15, 1944, in Rome and he died on November 19, 2010. She was a member of St. Peter's Church and the Ladies Home Bureau of Marcy. Julia enjoyed playing cards, square dancing, craft shows, and bus trips with the Rome Seniors. She is survived by her children, Karen Sardina and her husband, Santo of Whitesboro; Diane Robinson and her husband, Jim of Liverpool; Roberta Sullivan and her husband, Jim of Deerfield; Neal Wendt and his wife, Diane of Marcy; grandchildren, Kristen Shuemaker; Rene Sardina; Salvatore Sardina and his wife, Denise; Tom Donovan and his wife, Lisa; Robert Donovan; Michael Donovan and his wife Allison; Cristina and Katharyn Wendt; Sara Sullivan; and Kelly Kimball and her husband, Jed; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Matthew Donovan; and Violet and Abram Kimball; brother in-law; Gerald Wendt and his wife, Marie; sisters in law, Jenny Wendt, Marilyn Countryman, and Virginia Wendt; and several nieces and nephews. Julia was predeceased by her brother, Paul Krumhauer. The family would like to thank all the care givers, Tina, Rose, Sis, Zaffa, Linda, Nina, and Julia's special friend, Anna for the excellent care given to her. They would also like to thank the Presbyterian Adult Daycare and Self Direct Agency for the help and guidance they offered Julia. The funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Carr Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Whitesboro. In lieu of flowers, please consider the Presbyterian Home in memory of Julia.
