Louise K. Groezinger, 82, of Utica died November 16, 2012 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. She was born June 1, 1930 in Utica, daughter of the late James T. Klumbach and Margaret Lockwood Klumbach and graduated from UFA class of 1947. As a child she studied piano with Ada Cocroft and Beatrice Williams and later played with local bands. She also studied dance in Clark Mills, NY. She studied voice with Jesse Nash Stover and performed as a soloist at many functions. Until recently she enjoyed singing at Karaoke. She also modeled for Ceil Jones locally. Louise began her working career at the New York Telephone Co., in 1947 until her marriage in 1951 to John Robert Groezinger. Together they formed New Hartford Advertising Service and operated it until they sold the company in 1986. Louise continued to sell advertising specialties from her home. In 1966 they opened New Hartford Travel, Inc, where Louise was President and CEO for 34 years. She enjoyed her memberships in local clubs such as New Hartford Lions Auxiliary for 61 years, Maple Valley Chapter Order of the Eastern Star for 57 years, and the New Hartford American Legion Post # 1376 Auxiliary for many years. She was a member of New Hartford Presbyterian Church. Louise is survived by her cherished son Allan James Groezinger she was predeceased by husband John in 1995 and her daughter Lynn Gail Groezinger in 1986. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Robert E., Sr. and Mary Klumbach of Utica, her sister and brother-in-law, Helen K. and James Bush of SC; her nieces and nephews Robert E. Klumbach, Jr., Utica, Gregory (Susan Johnson) Klumbach of Myrtle Beach, SC, Stephen (Andrea) Klumbach, Utica, Gary Klumbach of Utica; Jennifer Bush of FL, Dr. Amanda Paige (Roger) Flynn,. of SC, Sarah Louise (Randy) Harris of Fl; James T. Klumbach, III, Johnstown, NY, David Klumbach, CT, Paul Klumbach, Whitesboro, and John (Carlene) Klumbach, Clark Mills; and several great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her husband and daughter she was predeceased by her brother James T. Klumbach, Jr. and a niece Susan Klumbach. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the Doctors and staff of St. Elizabeth Medical Center and Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare especially the Critical Care Unit. The funeral will be Monday at 11:30 AM at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-5 PM In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
