Marie E. Kritzler, 98, a resident of the Folts Homes, Herkimer, NY, departed this life on November 16, 2012 in firm Faith of reunion with loved ones and her Lord in eternal Life. She was born November 25, 1913 in Baltimore, MD, the only child of William Henry Mauler and Anna Beck Stamm. She was raised a devout Catholic and was educated at St. Elizabeth's Schools. She attended Business School majoring in Secretarial Science and took her first job during the Depression at $6/Week. She married William Otto August Kritzler who was born in Lüdenscheid, Westphalia, Germany in St. Mary's Church, Alexandria, VA on December 23, 1937. Theirs was a blessed union of 50 years. William died in 1988 after an extensive illness brought on by a stroke. Marie was proud of her family's German Baltimore roots and she enjoyed memorable steamed crab feasts and vacations at Ocean City, MD with kids and cousins. In 1951 she and her family re-located to Pine Tree Farms, Bucks County, PA where she became a communicant of St. Christopher's Church and founding member of the "Seniors" Club, an association she enjoyed for over 50 years. She loved Classical music and travel and was especially proud of her solitary sojourn in Rome, Italy in 1972. In 2002 she re-located to Claxton Manor at the Folts Homes, Herkimer where she spent several wonderful carefree years before moving to the Wakeman Building as her declining mobility required. Highlights of those years were activities, with her best friend Gesuina (Jesse) Fuller, mystery rides led by Dr. Paul Mickler, Activities Director, the Choral Group and making new friends wherever she went.
