Mark Knapp Utica Mark Knapp 55, of Utica and formerly of Hopewell Junction, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 11, 2012 after being struck by a motor vehicle on route 12 B in the town of Kirkland. He was born on May 8, 1957 in Beacon, NY a son of the late Lester and Martha (Wilson) Knapp Mark was a dedicated employee with the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Utica, a job he truly enjoyed and excelled at and was honored as employee of the year in 2010. Mark is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Barbara Knapp of Hopewell Junction, NY, a sister Barbara Farrell of Hopewell Junction and a brother and sister-in-law, William and Laura Knapp of Cape Coral, FL. He leaves several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, his companion and best friend Beverly Clarey of Clinton and many devoted friends and coworkers at the Central Association of the Blind and Visually impaired. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 6:00 PM at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home 1123 Court @ York Sts; In Utica, with the Rev. Laurie Pauley officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday prior to the service from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please consider the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 507 Kent St., Utica, NY 13501. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
