Richard Lawrence Godfrey II, 49, a lifelong resident of Hannibal, passed away February 14, at home surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Richard was born September 11, 1963 in Oswego and was a 1981 graduate of Hannibal High School. He was previously employed at Nestlé Company for several years as a machine operator. He had a passion for hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. His greatest love was spending time with his family; he was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Louise Godfrey. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Lisa Marie (Johnson) Godfrey; sons, Richard L. Godfrey III (Stephanie), Robert A. Godfrey (Amanda); daughter, Rachel M. Godfrey (Vinny Morgan); sisters, Arlene Godfrey and Kary Wilcox; brother, Kenneth White; his maternal grandmother, Frances Dennison; two grandchildren, Olivia and Jaxson Godfrey; several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Calling hours will be held Sunday, February 17, at 1 to 3 pm at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal, 13074, with services immediately following.
