Miss Sharon A. Healey, 68, went to be with the Lord on December 10, 2012, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. She was born January 27, 1944, in Utica, the daughter of William A. and Dorothy J. Edwards Healey. Sharon was a graduate of New Hartford Central School. She was employed by Utica National Insurance Co. for 32 years. Sharon volunteered for many years with Prospect Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Prospect. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, W. Alan and Cathy Healey, Barneveld; a sister-in-law, Veronica Healey, Rome; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Gary, and a nephew Jeffrey. Funeral services will be Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Forty Main Street, Whitesboro. Calling hours are Thursday from 4:00 p.m., until the time of the funeral. Spring interment will be in Glenside Cemetery, New York Mills. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Prospect Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and Barneveld Fire Dept. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
