Susan J. "Susie" Kaulback Burnam, 53, of Fairmount, New York and summers at Sunset Park, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.

Sue was a member of the Oneida Nation and a member of its Turtle Clan. She was a graduate of West Genesee High School in 1977 and Onondaga Community College.

Susie was blessed with a great sense of humor, loved to make people laugh and was the life of the party. She was the "Karaoke Queen" and she sure could dance. Little miss fix-it was generous to a fault and would help anyone in need at any time. She had knowledge of everything and could fix just about anything. She was known for her mac & cheese, key lime pie and her "suitcase."

She was predeceased by her father, George P. Kaulback in 2004.

Surviving are her daughters, Emma LaPointe and Cassie Burnam both of Fairmount, New York; a son, Donald LaPointe, Jr. of Fairmount, New York; her companion, James "Pookie" Menapace; her mother, Julia Benedict Kaulback of Fairmount, New York; sisters, Vicki Sabene of Camillus, New York and Donna (Curtis) Stepien of Mineral, Virginia; brother, Bill (Christy) Kaulback of Oneida, New York; two granddaughters, Morgan and Adi; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 am on Monday, April 29. 2013 at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., Syracuse, New York. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 3 to 6 pm on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the funeral home, 4612 South Salina Street.
