Teresa(Devins)Stillwell, 82, passed away at the home of her daughter on Sunday, September 30, 2012 with her forever loving family by her side. Teresa is now reunited with her beloved husband Emmett in heaven. Emmett died on April 18, 1985. Teresa was born in Utica on February 11, 1930, the daughter of the late Walter and Loretta Devins. Teresa graduated from Proctor High School and worked at Utica National Insurance for a few years. Teresa then married Emmett Stillwell on October 6, 1950. She worked after her marriage but when her first child was born, Teresa became a full time mom. Teresa's love and dedication to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was priceless and will be with them forever. Teresa leaves her children, John Stillwell of Florida, David Stillwell of Utica, Sharon Tomaino of Frankfort, Ron (Debbie) Stillwell of New Hartford, Richard Stillwell of Frankfort and Susan Stillwell of Connecticut; her grandchildren, Ann (Isarel) Guzman, Katie Stillwell, Jessica Stillwell, Ryan Stillwell, Rachel Stillwell, Andrea Stillwell (Tom Humphreville), Melissa (Lance Dolan) Stillwell, Kyle Stillwell, Brianna Stillwell and Michael Tomaino and her great-grandchildren, Dakoda, Nadia, Derrick, Elias and Cora. Teresa also leaves three sisters, Mary Clydesdale of Colorado, Margaret (Jack) Bowen and Eleanor (Gene) Benman both of Whitesboro, one brother, Paul (Jackie) Devins of Florida; sister-in-law, Sally Devins of Ilion and many nieces, nephews and friends. Teresa was predeceased by many sisters, brothers and in-laws. Mom was able to spend the last four years of her life comfortable and very happy at home after her first stroke with the help and love of her family. Thank you to Ron for your visits, Rick for your goodies, visits and as Mom said nice van, David's calls, John's calls and Susan for everything. A special thank you to Jessica for all the doctor appointments and extra care, to Brianna who made it possible for Mom to come home because she was her daytime caregiver for years and Melissa for helping Brianna and your extra care. Thank you Andrea for being the back up all those years. And, Michael, who without a second thought agreed to share his home with his grandmother knowing things would be different. Thank you to Aunt Elly and Uncle Gene for all your support and goodies to Mom. Thank you to Brandy Wilcox for your care to Mom. Thank you Dr. Islam for your wonderful care. With Mom's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Family was everything to Mom and she wanted a private funeral with immediate family. Her funeral is in the care of Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 13 Oxford Road, New Hartford. Please take a few minutes and say a prayer for Mom and remember that beautiful face and wonderful laugh.
